Used your microscope so much the LED has burned out?  Get a QX5 LED Replacement. Works with V1/V2 QX5 microscopes, or Smithsonian Microscopes on the top and bottom LED.

To replace the bulb in the QX5 Computer Microscope please follow the instructions below.

Tools needed: Phillips screwdriver

To replace the upper light...
1. Unplug the microscope from the computer
2. Remove the microscope from the base
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the single screw on the bottom middle of the microscope
4. Remove the old LED light from the bracket by sliding the piece straight out from the microscope.  

5. Replace the LED with the new one making sure the LED is facing down on the bracket like the old LED.
5. Slide the LED into the microscope and screw the bracket back into the base

To replace the bottom light...
1. Unplug the microscope from the computer.
2. Remove the microscope from the base.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver, remove the two screws on the bottom of the specimen tray beneath the LED.
4. Using your fingers, carefully remove the LED from the base.
5. Take the replacement LED and carefully insert the prongs into the slots firmly
6. Re-attach the bottom of the specimen tray.
